Koji Takeda

Director

Mr Koji Takeda was appointed as a non-executive Director of Jurong Engineering Limited on 1 April 2019. He is currently with IHI Corporation and holds the positions of Executive Officer, Vice President of Resources, Energy & Environment Business Area and President of IHI Plant Services Corporation. Mr Takeda has spent over 30 years with IHI Corporation in various leadership roles.

Prior to his current appointments, he was the Associate Director and General Manager of Boilers Business unit in Resources, Energy & Environment Business Area from April 2018 to March 2019. Over the years, Mr Takeda has gained extensive experience in power plant projects.

He was the Associate Director and General Manager of Boilers Business Unit and General Manager of Business Administration Group in Resources, Energy & Environment Business Area from April 2017 to March 2018 after he assumed the position of Deputy Division Director of Boiler Plant division and General Manager of Business Administration Group of Boiler Plant division in Energy & Plant Operations from April 2016 to March 2017.

From 2006 to 2016, Mr Takeda held various positions as General Manager of Material Group of Procurement department in Procurement Strategics, General Manager of Operation Control department in the Power Plant division, Division Director of Procurement & Construction Center in Energy Operations, Division Director of Production Center and General Manager of Production Planning department in the Energy & Plant Operations.

Mr Takeda holds a Bachelor of Arts in Law degree from Sophia University in Japan.

Andrew Lim Ming-Hui

Director

Mr Andrew Lim Ming-Hui is a partner of Allen & Gledhill LLP, where he currently co-heads the Corporate Mergers and Acquisitions department. He is consistently recognised as a leading lawyer in his areas of expertise and has, over the course of 30 years in legal practice, advised clients on numerous market-leading corporate and mergers and acquisition transactions. His advice is also sought on corporate governance, regulatory and compliance matters. His clients include MNCs, listed and non-listed companies, financial institutions and private equity firms.

He currently also serves:

• as a Director of Singapore Press Holdings Limited;
• as a Member of the Board of Trustees of the National University of Singapore;
• as a Member of the Board of Sentosa Development Corporation;
• as a Director of Singex Holdings Pte Ltd; and
• as a Member of the Law Advisory Council of the Faculty of Law, National University of Singapore.

Mr Lim holds both a Bachelor of Laws degree and a Master of Laws degree

Hiroki Kobayashi

Director

Mr Hiroki Kobayashi was appointed as a non-executive Director of Jurong Engineering Limited on 1 April 2020. Mr Kobayashi is the President and Chief Executive Officer of IHI Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. He is also concurrently Associate Director of Regional Headquarters for Asia Pacific and Global Marketing & Sales Headquarters of IHI Corporation and General Manager of Overseas Representative Office for Singapore Overseas Branch in Global Marketing & Sales Headquarters of IHI Corporation.

Since joining IHI Corporation in 1991 to 2012 , Mr Kobayashi has accumulated extensive experience in sales where he spent the earlier years of his career in various positions in the Power Plant division of IHI Corporation including as Manager of Power Plant Overseas Sales department . From April 2012 to March 2016, he served as Manager of Secretariat division.

He was previously General Manager of Business Development & Sales department of Energy & Plant Operations and General Manager of Sales department in the Boiler Plant division from April 2016 to March 2017.

Prior to his current appointment, Mr Kobayashi held several key positions in the Resources, Energy & Environmental Business Area for business & sales development including Deputy General Manager of Business Development department from April 2018 to March 2019, and General Manager of Sales Strategy & Coordination department.

Mr Kobayashi studied Sociology and obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Letters from Keio University in Japan.

Yoichi Miyagawa

Director

Mr Yoichi Miyagawa was appointed as a non-executive Director of Jurong Engineering Limited on 1 April 2020. Mr Miyagawa is the General Manager of Planning & Control department of Resources, Energy & Environment Business Area of IHI Corporation, a position he has held since June 2018.

Mr Miyagawa’s career with IHI Corporation started over 30 years ago and has held several pivotal roles in finance, accounting and control within the IHI Group. He was Corporate Secretary and Treasurer of IHI INC, based in the United States from 2003 to 2009. In 2009, he returned to Japan and took on the role of Manager of Tax Accounting group in the Finance & Accounting division.

Mr Miyagawa was appointed General Manager of Corporate Finance group in the Finance & Accounting division from July 2011 to March 2013. He assumed another position in the United States as Assistant Treasurer in International Aero Engines AG from April 2013 to April 2016.

Prior to his current appointment, he was the General Manager in the Planning & Control group of the Finance & Accounting division and concurrently served as General Manager in the Corporate Planning division from May 2016 to March 2017.

Mr Miyagawa holds a Bachelor of Political Science and Economy from Waseda University in Japan.

Masao Akamatsu

Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer

Mr Masao Akamatsu was appointed Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Jurong Engineering Limited on 1 April 2017. Mr Akamatsu has over 30 years of experience with IHI Corporation and its group of companies. Prior to joining Jurong Engineering, he was a Director and Chief Operating Officer of IHI Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. From 2011 to 2015, he was the General Manager of IHI Taipei Representative Office and President of IHI Taiwan Corporation. Mr Akamatsu joined IHI Corporation in 1985, and held leadership roles across various functions especially in the industrial heavy machinery business, including the positions of Deputy General Manager in Logistics Systems and Steel Structures Operations and Associate Director/ General Manager in IHI Transport Machinery Co., Ltd. Mr Akamatsu graduated from Sophia University, Japan with a Bachelor of Arts in Law degree

Bob Tan Beng Hai, PJG, BBM

Chairman

Mr Bob Tan was appointed to the Board of Jurong Engineering Limited as its Chairman on 1 December 2005. He is also the Chairman of Ascott Business Trust Management Pte Ltd, Ascott Residence Trust Management Ltd, SINGEX Holdings Pte Ltd and Sentosa Development Corporation. He is a Board Member of the Ong Teng Cheong Labour Leadership Institute, Securities Industry Council Member and Corporate Governance Advisory Committee Member of Monetary Authority of Singapore, Council Member of NTUC Club Management Council, Director of Sembcorp Marine Ltd and Director of Singapore Post Limited. Mr Bob Tan was awarded the Friend of Labour Award in 2000, the Public Service Star Award in 2010, the NTUC Meritorious Service Award in 2013, the Meritorious Service Medal (Pingat Jasa Gemilang) at the 2017 National Day Awards and Distinguished Service Award at the 2018 NTUC May Day Awards. Mr. Bob Tan is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and the Singapore Institute of Directors.
