JEL is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Kensuke Yamamoto and Mr Chan Swee Huat to the Board of Directors, effective 1 April 2026. They succeed Mr Noriaki Miura and Mr Ryoji Aoki, who served as Directors from 1 April 2023 to 31 March 2026. We extend our sincere appreciation to Mr Miura and Mr Aoki for their valuable contributions during their tenure.
Mr Kensuke Yamamoto joins as a Non-Executive Director. He is Managing Executive Officer and President of the Business Development Division at IHI Corporation, where he has held senior leadership roles since beginning his career in 1995. He holds a Master’s Degree in Engineering from Nagoya University.
Mr Chan Swee Huat has been appointed Director. He brings extensive experience in the energy sector, having served as CEO of YTL PowerSeraya Group from 2013 to 2019. Since 2022, he has advised IHI Asia Pacific and currently serves on several boards in the bioenergy and materials sectors. In 2018, he was awarded the Comrade of Labour Award by the National Trades Union Congress.
