Happy New Year to everyone! As we step into 2025, I am filled with pride and optimism. Reflecting on our journey, I am inspired by your resilience and dedication each of you has shown. Together, we have navigated challenges and celebrated remarkable achievements.
The past year has been a testament of our strength and unity as many projects in EPC, Construction and Maintenance gained full steam. Particularly, Project Aurora in Malaysia and Batu Hijau Combined Cycle Power Plant-1 in Indonesia have both attained major milestones and are now operating on open cycle.
Moreover, I would like to commend the completed projects IRPC CHPIII Project, Sahacogen SPP Renewal Project, Glow SPP2 Replacement Project, in Thailand; Matarbari Ultra-Supercritical Coal Fired Power Project in Bangladesh; Hsin Tao Restoration Project in Taiwan; VanPhong Project in Vietnam and 2EHAcid Plant II Project in Malaysia. These projects have bolstered our portfolio and stand as a reflection of our expertise and professionalism. I am also pleased to announce another newly secured significant project in Singapore – 100MW Fast Start Ancillary Service Project for Pacific Light Power Pte Ltd.
Despite the hurdles presented to us in the past year, your unwavering spirit during these trying times has my heartfelt appreciation. I extend my gratitude to each one of you for your hard work and perseverance.
As we move forward, it is paramount that we maintain prudent focus on the safety and well-being of all workers and staff. With many projects nearing completion, project execution and management must also work in tandem with cash flow management at every stage, to ensure our Group’s financial stability and future growth.
Furthermore, I am proud to announce that JEL Maintenance Pte Ltd has been recognized as the most preferred company in the solar sector at the Southeast Asia’s Premier Solar EPC Event. This accolade further cements our status as a leader in the solar power industry and our commitment to sustainable energy.
Last year’s i-JEL 2024 represents our resolve to optimize operational excellence across the Group. I appreciate everyone who has contributed their ideas, and I eagerly anticipate seeing these ideas come alive to enhance efficiency leading to better project cash flow & profit, improve project timeline, elevate work safety, strengthen quality standards, and more.
It is with pride that I share that for the fourth consecutive year, Jurong Engineering Limited has been honored as Singapore’s Best Employer. I believe the values which we encapsulate will continue to be the cornerstone of our collective success.
As the Group grow, it is important to continuously strive for a nurturing culture where each individual within the Group can excel. Having said this, I would like to applaud the recent graduates of our Career Development Program and participants of the inaugural Leadership Summit. I look forward to welcoming our next batch of participants and would like to encourage everyone to always seize the resources available to refine your knowledge.
As we embark on this new year, let us renew our efforts to synergize our core businesses in EPC, Construction, and Maintenance. Our strategically positioned headquarters in Singapore, buttressed by our extensive regional network, will empower us to capture new opportunities and rise to the challenges. By working together as one cohesive JEL Group, I am confident in our ability to deliver exceptional value to our clients and drive our collective success.
